Steps to Enable Remote Desktop Connection with a Blank Password

  1. Run Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc):

    Press Win + R, type gpedit.msc, and press Enter.

  2. Navigate to the Security Settings:

    In the Group Policy Editor, go to:

    Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options
  3. Disable the Local Account Password Limitation:

    Find and double-click on the policy:

    Accounts: Limit local accounts use of blank passwords to console login only

    Set it to Disabled and click OK.

  4. Close Group Policy Editor:

    After applying the changes, close the Group Policy Editor and restart the computer to apply the settings.
